The YS-80 batch control instruments are microprocessor-based instruments
designed specifically for advanced batch, precision in-line blending, totalization,
and custody transfer applications. Batch controllers have high accuracy
totalization and pressure/temperature compensation abilities and are able
to use pulse and analog inputs. The YS-80 batch instruments can be
used stand-alone, in multi-instrument configurations, and as part of distributed
control systems.
The batch product family includes four instruments: SLCC blending controller handles precision in-line blending applications. The SLCC provides an easily entered ratio setpoint and then separately totalized setpoint and process variable signals and performs PI control to keep the blend ratio constant. The SBSD batch set station is used with the SLCC blending controller where it generates a master demand signal to multiple SLCC blending controllers. The SBSD allows the user to enter a flow profile program. The batch status output is available for on/off control of batch loader loops. SLBC batch controller combines the main functions of the SLCC blending controller and the SBSD batch set station for use in stand-alone batch loader applications or integrated in-line blending systems. STLD totalizer contains five high-accuracy totalizers and displays both instantaneous and cumulative flow values. STLD provides pressure and temperature compensation, and has special features for steam flow as well as ASTM based compensation for petro-chemical applications and AGA calculations for pipeline applications. |

There are two models of YS100 single-loop controllers: the YS170 programmable type which enables customized control by user programs, and the YS150 multi-function type with which single-loop control, cascade control, or selector control can be selected. YS100 controllers have a full-dot LCD on their front panel for clear, legible display of information. YS100 controllers have two CPUs; if the main CPU fails, the YS100 can continue to display the process variable because the CPU for display is independent. Therefore, the manipulated variable (MV) can be operated manually using the increase/ decrease keys while monitoring the process variable. Furthermore, if both CPUs fail, the manipulated variable will be switched to that of an analog circuit and can be operated manually with a hard manual wheel. |
