High quality products begin with a high quality, tightly controlled
process. Process signals need to be as error free as possible.
You should expect your process instrumentation to do more than just eliminate
ground loops. The WebView I/O series brings a new level of accuracy,
functionality and ease of use to process instrumentation.
The WV Series is the best signal conditioner family ever produced by Action Instruments. Besides being as great signal conditioner, as a bonus, you can view your process data, or perform diagnostic checks over your company's intranet, with the optional WVC16 I/O Communications Interface. With the Interface, email notification can be generated when signals are out of range. Plus, the WV Series modules store the min/max temperature value as well as the current internal temperature of the module. If scheduled calibration is required, a built-in timer can be programmed to notify the user when it is time for calibration checks. |

The Ultra SlimPak II Communications Interface adds functionality never before found in a signal conditioning system. A single WVC16 interfaces with as many as 32 Ultra SlimPak II devices by means of an internal infrared communications link. Through an Ethernet link in the WVC16, the information can then made available over the user's intranet. This powerful combination allows the user to view process data on a near real time basis, perform data logging functions on specified modules, view diagnostic information, and (under certain conditions) calibrate the modules remotely.
The WVC16 can send email messages to people who might need to be notified when an alarm condition exists. It can also send an email message letting maintenance personnel know when it's time to perform calibration checks. All of this functionality is made possible by a signed Java applet which is (transparently) downloaded to run on the client's computer. Using an applet rather than a traditional web page allows data to be updated in near real time. The applet provides access to the signal conditioner's data, which includes:
All memory to support the signal conditioner's historical data is battery backed. The web pages and all email messages are stored in non-volatile memory.

Blinking LEDs communicate the following information:
GREEN
In addition to the DIP switches and pushbutton, it is possible to remotely configure each module, using an Ethernet connection to the WVC16 and a remote PC-based web browser.
Besides the four diagnostic LED's, further diagnostic information can be obtained using a computer. All Ultra SlimPak II units can provide HI/LO and overtemperature soft alarms when used with a WVC16 communications interface.
